Supply Chain Specialist

About the role

Lasec SA, a leading scientific brand in Africa, is seeking a dynamic Supply Chain Specialist to support its Diagnostic Division. Based at the Cape Town head office, you will ensure efficient flow of consumable products from global suppliers to production lines.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase orders, track shipments and monitor incoming deliveries.
• Maintain accurate costings for components and compile cost data for sales teams.
• Ensure optimal stock levels to support production, including regular review of slow‑moving, dead‑stock and expiring items.
• Communicate expected arrival dates to production and manage stock allocations.
• Collaborate with buyers, product managers, sales, product teams and quality control on new kit development and innovation.
• Source alternative components to improve pricing, quality or availability.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and ensure procurement compliance.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration.
• Experience in demand planning and stock management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• High self‑motivation, ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
