Site Technician – Construction Project Support

About the role

The Site Technician acts as the bridge between the Site Manager and production operations, ensuring that construction activities are carried out efficiently and safely. This role supports project execution by applying technical expertise, monitoring costs, managing risks and maintaining compliance with SHEQ standards.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret drawings, plans and specifications to verify that construction follows engineering requirements.
• Coordinate subcontractors and construction workers, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule and in line with safety regulations.
• Provide technical advice on‑site and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Generate, track and deliver daily costing reports to the Site Manager.
• Identify scope changes, delays and risks, and communicate them promptly to the Site Manager.
• Maintain stakeholder relationships across all project levels to ensure timely and accurate data flow.
• Inspect work to confirm compliance with SHEQ standards and enforce safety procedures.

Required profile

• Strong technical background in construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience in cost reporting and risk identification.
• Good communication skills for internal and external stakeholder management.
• Commitment to health, safety, environment and quality (SHEQ) standards.
