Senior Newsroom Specialist – EM South

About the role

The Senior Newsroom Specialist will lead adidas' owned social media channels and internal/external communications across Emerging Markets South. You will create engaging content, manage community interactions, and ensure the brand voice is consistent across all platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute social media content strategy aligned with global, brand, commercial and category calendars.
• Maintain a consistent adidas tone‑of‑voice across all communication channels.
• Manage the EM South community, direct conversations, respond to customer inquiries and collaborate with consumer service teams.
• Produce reactive and proactive copy for content moments and campaigns.
• Consolidate and analyse cross‑channel performance, presenting insights to stakeholders.
• Own and manage relevant tech platforms and relationships with technology providers.
• Partner with business units, PR, digital and media teams to plan and execute end‑to‑end social campaigns.
• Support newsroom functions such as PR, asset publishing and analytics to maximise publishing mix.
• Identify platform trends and consumer behaviour, feeding insights back to the wider team.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of creative development processes and social media trends in sport and lifestyle.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a solid grasp of English.
• Curious, motivated by the fast‑changing digital landscape and able to work independently.
• Proven ability to collaborate across multiple functions and influence stakeholders.
