Senior Interior Designer – Lead Projects from Concept to Installation

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Interior Designer to lead projects from the initial brief through concept development, detailed documentation, and final installation. Based in Greenpoint, Cape Town, you will work closely with the Design Director, Creative Director, and the broader studio team to deliver bespoke, innovative interiors that reflect our clients' visions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design from client brief to concept, presentation, technical documentation, and on‑site installation.
• Prepare detailed furniture layouts, lighting and electrical coordination drawings, joinery details, window treatments, and artwork placements.
• Produce full technical drawing packs, including plans, sections, elevations, and details.
• Collaborate with suppliers, consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
• Manage multiple projects of varying scale, meeting deadlines with precision.
• Create compelling 3D visuals and architectural views for client presentations.
• Navigate and contribute within complex Revit models.
• Support and mentor junior and mid‑level designers.
• Maintain and evolve studio standards and procedures.

Required profile

• National Diploma in Interior Design or equivalent.
• 5–7 years of design experience, including at least five completed projects as a senior designer.
• Strong technical drawing ability and clear communication of design details.
• Positive, hands‑on attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and deliver high‑quality work on multiple projects.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in SketchUp.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Experience preparing and reviewing lighting, electrical, joinery, and furniture layouts.
