Senior Engineer – Development Laboratories

About the role

The Senior Engineer in Development Laboratories will lead the design, development and delivery of new or enhanced software‑driven electronic products. You will act as a technical authority, solving complex integration and performance challenges across multiple platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain complex software systems from concept to production deployment.
• Lead technical architecture ensuring scalability, performance, security and maintainability.
• Serve as escalation point for intricate software and system‑integration issues.
• Mentor a team of developers through design reviews, code reviews and problem‑solving sessions.
• Ensure compliance with software development standards, best practices and coding guidelines.
• Participate in all SDLC phases: requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment and support.
• Collaborate with analysts, architects, testers and business stakeholders to deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Contribute to technology selection, architectural patterns and tooling improvements.
• Provide technical input for estimation, planning and prioritisation of work.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in software engineering for digital and network‑based products.
• Strong expertise in SDLC, Agile/iterative delivery models and object‑oriented design.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical design and mentor development teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills for complex system integration.
