Senior Developer – Enterprise Payment Systems

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Developer to join a high‑performing team that builds and maintains large‑scale, mission‑critical payment and transaction‑processing solutions. The role is based onsite in Gauteng and involves working in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise‑grade Java and C# applications.
• Build scalable, secure solutions following architecture standards and best practices.
• Develop and support Angular front‑end applications.
• Participate in system design, code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
• Support integration, user‑acceptance testing, and production environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, infrastructure, and performance issues.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, deployment guides, and support manuals.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, architects, and support teams.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a senior developer role.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Self‑motivated with strong time‑management capabilities.

Required skills

• Java development (Java EE / Jakarta EE).
• C# development.
• Angular framework.
• Spring Boot, JDBC, JPA.
• JMS (IBM MQ).
• Design and support of REST APIs and micro‑services.
• XML, XSD, XSL processing.
• GitLab or similar CI/CD tools.
• Linux and Unix troubleshooting.
• Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools.
