Senior Analyst, Finance Business Partner

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Analyst, Finance Business Partner to support the East Africa cluster. The role will manage financial planning, forecasting and analysis while partnering with business leaders to drive strategy execution. You will work closely with the Finance Business Partner team and the Vice President, Finance Business Partner, Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Manage financial planning and forecasting across countries, products and customers for the East Africa cluster.
• Provide financial insights to leadership, highlight risks and opportunities, and recommend resolutions.
• Oversee month‑end close activities, including revenue recognition and expense reporting, in collaboration with Controllers and Shared Services.
• Maintain business models, MIS, KPIs and cluster business review decks to analyze performance.
• Partner with regional and corporate teams to assess new business opportunities and support Customer Business Agreements.
• Assist in strategic growth planning, business case modeling and thought leadership.
• Drive continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Support the Africa Finance Business Partner team in maintaining a strong control environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related discipline.
• Fast‑paced, highly analytical and detail‑oriented with a sense of urgency.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to work independently.
• Experience with all phases of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting.
• Ability to follow up on time‑sensitive issues.
