Remote Independent Contractor Lecturer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Independent Contractor Lecturer to deliver high‑quality online learning for MSI’s accredited programmes. This remote, contract‑based role focuses on teaching, student support, and continuous academic improvement while complying with institutional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate online lectures, live sessions and discussion forums aligned with the approved curriculum.
• Prepare and conduct interactive sessions that promote engagement and critical thinking.
• Mark assessments using approved rubrics, release grades and feedback on time.
• Maintain academic standards and integrity in all teaching activities.
• Stay current with discipline developments and contribute to curriculum enhancements.
• Participate in scholarly discussions, innovation in online pedagogy and academic development initiatives.
• Submit marks, engage in moderation and quality‑assurance processes, and keep accurate academic records.
• Attend virtual academic meetings and comply with MSI policies and procedures.
• Provide timely academic support to students, respond to queries, and identify at‑risk learners.
• Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Required profile

• Minimum Honours degree in a relevant discipline (master’s preferred).
• Prior lecturing or facilitation experience in higher education or professional learning environments.
• Experience delivering online or blended learning programmes.
• Strong communication and digital literacy skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain accountability.
• Willingness to operate as an independent contractor and meet tax and compliance obligations.
