Project Manager – Cape Town

About the role

IHC SA is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead projects from enquiry through delivery in our Cape Town office. Reporting to the Project Engineering Manager, you will oversee project phases, manage teams and resources, and ensure client satisfaction while meeting time, cost and quality targets.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project Engineering Manager in developing the department’s annual plan.
• Set up projects during enquiry and award stages and appoint project teams.
• Lead allocated projects, conduct kick‑off meetings and obtain client approvals for scope, schedule and commercial terms.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets and quality plans.
• Manage risk, health‑safety‑environment (HS&E) plans and configuration management.
• Coordinate communication between clients, internal departments and external specialists.
• Monitor expenditure, control changes and ensure delivery within approved budgets and timelines.
• Resolve project issues and secure client acceptance of deliverables.
