Production Controller

About the role

Symrise is seeking a Production Controller to lead a manufacturing team in the food & beverage and flavor sector. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient production while maintaining high quality and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a production team of approximately 8 employees.
• Plan and prepare daily and weekly production schedules and ensure their execution.
• Oversee production stock, perform weekly verification and maintain accurate records.
• Organise in‑house training sessions and coordinate with maintenance for continuous equipment operation.
• Investigate production issues, implement corrective actions, and conduct monthly internal food‑safety inspections.
• Maintain production documentation, ensure compliance with work instructions, and support internal and external audits.
• Weigh raw materials, blend ingredients, label products correctly, monitor QC status, and take monthly water readings.
• Uphold health, safety, and food‑safety standards and maintain high housekeeping standards.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in machine operation and product handling within the Food & Beverage industry.
• Proven experience leading teams and motivating staff to meet production goals.
• Knowledge of food‑safety systems (HACCP) and Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Understanding of food product specifications such as particle size and colour.
• Ability to manage material flow, inventory, and production planning with strong attention to detail.
