Painting Supervisor (Steel Structures)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Painting Supervisor to lead painting operations on steel products and structures in Rustenburg. The role involves ensuring that all painting work meets quality standards, project specifications, and timelines while maintaining a safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate painters in the workshop.
• Ensure proper surface preparation and adherence to steel‑painting processes.
• Conduct paint‑thickness measurements using DFT gauges and verify compliance with specifications.
• Perform quality inspections, complete sign‑off reports, and maintain accurate records.
• Provide regular progress updates and feedback to management.
• Manage paint stock levels, conduct stock‑takes, and arrange ordering of paint and related materials.
• Monitor productivity to keep projects on schedule.

Required profile

• Proven experience in steel painting within construction or engineering.
• Previous supervisory experience managing painting teams.
• Experience with paint inspection, reporting, and thickness measurement tools.
• Knowledge of stock control and material ordering.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
