On‑Site Technician

About the role

Solar MD is seeking a safety‑first On‑Site Technician to carry out electrical installations, maintenance and repairs for its renewable energy solutions. You will work directly with the Head of Technical Support, ensuring every system meets the highest industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control panels, switches and circuit breakers according to design specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams and schematics to guarantee precise execution.
• Perform routine inspections, diagnose electrical faults and carry out preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with project teams to keep installations on schedule and adapt to various job sites as required.
• Enforce all workplace safety protocols and electrical regulations to maintain a zero‑incident environment.

Required profile

• Valid Trade Test Certification as an electrician (mandatory).
• Proven hands‑on experience as a Trade Tested Electrician, preferably with power systems, control panels or renewable‑energy installations.
• In‑depth knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations and proficiency with electrical testing equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting ability, high attention to detail and a collaborative mindset.
• Valid driver’s licence is advantageous for travelling between sites.
