About the role

The Nursing Manager leads the nursing service within the hospital, ensuring patient safety, a positive patient experience, and effective management of human and material resources. Reporting to senior hospital leadership, the role shapes nursing strategy and drives a culture of high‑quality care.

Key responsibilities

• Compile, implement and monitor a hospital‑specific nursing strategy.
• Promote and sustain a culture of quality nursing care and patient safety.
• Manage resources to achieve optimal operational efficiency.
• Oversee the patient experience and address related concerns.
• Lead, develop and manage the nursing team.
• Maintain key stakeholder relationships across the organisation.

Required profile

• Professional Nurse qualification.
• Postgraduate Diploma in Health Services Management or an accredited management qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of professional nursing experience in a hospital setting.
• At least 3 years of nursing management experience.
