About the role
Sasol is seeking a Management Accountant to support the Finance Southern Africa business unit in Secunda. The role ensures sound financial management, accurate reporting, and provides analytical insight to drive business decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and present monthly management accounting reports, including variance analysis and cost allocations.
- Maintain journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and ensure account hygiene.
- Recover FOB, inter‑company and external costs, and manage provision journals.
- Support budget owners with forecasting, cash‑flow projections, and budget updates in SAP.
- Provide training on SAP and Power BI reports to cost‑centre owners.
- Maintain SAP master data at the cost‑centre level and respond to ad‑hoc financial queries.
Required profile
- Strong understanding of management accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience preparing budgets, forecasts and cash‑flow statements.
- Ability to analyse financial data, explain variances and influence decision‑making.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with senior managers and cost‑centre owners.
