Locum Teacher

About the role

ADvTECH is seeking a qualified Locum Teacher to join its Intersen Phase educators. You will help build solid educational foundations and guide learners toward abstract thinking and independent work across a range of curricula.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver future‑focused academic instruction that motivates and challenges students.
• Prepare and mark assessments, produce accurate reports.
• Manage student behaviour and uphold a safe learning environment.
• Represent the school brand positively within the community.
• Perform administrative duties and ensure health & safety compliance.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree (NQF level 6) with PGCE or B.Ed. (Intermediate, Intersen or Senior Phase).
• SACE certification and a valid police clearance.
• 2‑5 years of teaching experience.
• Computer and digital literacy, First Aid certification.
• Commitment to lifelong learning and professional development.
• Strong planning, organisation, interpersonal and critical‑thinking abilities.
