Lead IT Security Specialist

About the role

The Lead IT Security Specialist will drive the global identity and access management strategy, focusing on Microsoft Entra ID and the broader Microsoft 365 security suite. Based in London (or Johannesburg/Nairobi), you will shape the roadmap for identity and security technologies, ensuring a secure, compliant, and well‑governed environment.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the subject‑matter expert for hybrid Microsoft Entra ID, providing strategic guidance, technical leadership, and hands‑on support for IAM initiatives.
• Configure and manage Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and Role‑Based Access Control (RBAC) to enforce adaptive access controls.
• Design, troubleshoot, and maintain SSO, provisioning, and MFA integrations with enterprise applications.
• Monitor operational trends and evolve the enterprise IAM and security posture accordingly.
• Maintain Microsoft Intune, Defender for Endpoint, and Sentinel, creating policies, analytics rules, playbooks, and incident response workflows.
• Perform cloud security assessments and deliver tailored recommendations to internal teams and external clients.
• Provide technical guidance for Microsoft 365 E5 security services, covering solution design, implementation, and optimization.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT security, cloud architecture, or IAM.
• Proven track record designing and implementing IAM strategies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator Associate, CISSP, GIAC, or Security+.
