Kitchen Hand – Part‑time (28 hrs fortnightly)

About the role

Join the hospitality team at Lefroy Care Centre, where you will support residents by preparing and serving meals in a warm, caring environment. This part‑time contract offers 28 hours each fortnight, split across two alternating weeks.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, plate, serve and clear meals according to the kitchen schedule.
• Maintain food preparation and serving areas to hygiene standards.
• Record temperatures, cleaning logs and submit them for manager review.
• Update resident dietary changes on the master print‑out.
• Monitor stock levels (bread, milk, yoghurt, etc.) and replenish as needed.
• Assist with ordering specific supplies not covered by the regular supplier.

Required profile

• Current flu vaccination as per Amana Living policy.
• Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (valid for 6 months).
• Successful completion of pre‑employment medical and reference checks.
• NDIS clearance or willingness to obtain it.
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to attend a one‑day paid induction at the Rivervale Training Institute.
