Junior Data & Reporting Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Data & Reporting Analyst to join our team in Johannesburg. You will work closely with IT and business stakeholders to turn ERP data into actionable insights that support finance and operational decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Extract, analyse, interpret and present data from the ERP system.
• Generate and maintain reports, dashboards and operational reporting.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries and views for reporting and analysis.
• Create and update interactive dashboards using Power BI.
• Monitor data solution performance and identify optimisation opportunities.
• Build dynamic reporting systems that evolve with business needs.
• Document data models, reports and data definitions.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to gather requirements and deliver insights.

Required profile

• Grade 12 and an IT or business degree (BCom, BSc Computer Science or BSc IT).
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Intermediate SQL skills and advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Proficiency in Power BI with certification.
• Understanding of finance and operational business processes.
• Experience with ERP master and transactional data (preferably IFS, SAP or Microsoft Dynamics).
• Valid driver’s licence.
