Internal Auditor – Operational Risk

About the role

We are looking for an Internal Auditor specialized in Operational Risk to join our audit team. The role will monitor the business risk profile and execute audit assignments in line with the Group Audit Plan and internal audit standards.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the annual audit planning cycle, incorporating risk, control and business strategy inputs.
• Execute audit phases – planning, fieldwork and reporting – ensuring adherence to methodology and quality standards.
• Identify opportunities to apply data analytics and automated auditing techniques.
• Prepare concise, fact‑based audit observations with root‑cause analysis and agreed remediation actions.
• Provide operational risk subject‑matter expertise to audit teams and support combined assurance across the three lines of defence.
• Develop and maintain relationships with business units, monitor risk profiles and contribute to risk and committee reporting.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of operational risk management and relevant regulations.
• Professional skepticism and ability to apply a residual risk lens.
• Experience in audit methodology, design and operating effectiveness assessments.
• Commitment to continuous upskilling and staying current with industry trends.
