Grade 6 Teacher – Intermediate Phase (Northriding)

About the role

Nova Pioneer is seeking an enthusiastic Grade 6 teacher for its Northriding Primary School. The successful candidate will deliver enquiry‑based lessons that inspire curiosity and develop critical thinking in students aged 11‑12. This position is part of an innovative network that aims to shape future African leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with learning designers to create engaging, technology‑enhanced lessons.
• Deliver rigorous, enquiry‑based instruction aligned with Nova Pioneer’s curriculum.
• Observe, coach, and mentor Apprentice Teachers.
• Set ambitious learning goals, provide constructive feedback, and track student progress.
• Use assessment data to adapt teaching strategies and improve outcomes.
• Participate in weekly feedback sessions with Deans and learning designers.
• Engage in professional development activities, including team meetings and instructional coaching.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with experience teaching Grade 6 or equivalent intermediate phase.
• Passion for enquiry‑based learning and student‑centred pedagogy.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Commitment to continuous professional growth.

• Proficiency in using educational technology to support instruction.
