Full‑Time Online English Teacher (Cape Town)

About the role

Join EF Education First as a full‑time Online English Teacher, delivering group and private lessons to adult learners from over 120 countries. Based in our modern Touchstone House office in Cape Town, you will use EF’s proprietary online classroom platform to help students achieve their personal and professional English goals.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct 40‑ to 45‑minute conversation‑based online lessons (group and private) for adult learners.
• Provide after‑class progress reports and personalized improvement recommendations.
• Participate in mandatory ongoing training and professional development.
• With experience, design custom lesson materials.

Required profile

• South African residency with a valid ID.
• C2‑level English proficiency with a neutral accent.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (NQF Level 7).
• TEFL qualification preferred; EF will fund a TEFL course if needed.
• Highly computer literate and able to work from the Cape Town office.
• Professional, energetic, and enthusiastic about people.
