FP&A Analyst

About the role

Reporting to the Head of FP&A, the analyst will support Group Finance by delivering financial planning, analysis and reporting that informs the CFO and executive team. The role focuses on providing insights into performance, budgeting, forecasting and cost management across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Support the preparation of templates and management packs for financial reporting.
• Consolidate budgets, forecasts and monthly reporting packs (Day 1, board, capex, cost, profitability).
• Own monthly KPI reporting, variance investigation and facilitate departmental discussions.
• Prepare cost reports for central functions, comparing actuals to budget, latest forecast and prior year.
• Track capex spend versus budget and produce monthly capex packs for major projects.
• Provide analytical reporting and insights to the external reporting team.
• Ensure consistency of P&L, profitability and reporting across the business.
• Conduct ROI tracking and modelling in collaboration with product and commercial teams.
• Support FP&A managers for central cost functions and ad‑hoc group analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field (CA(SA) a plus).
• 3–5 years of relevant FP&A or similar experience (fintech experience a plus).
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Business acumen with a detail‑oriented, organised approach.
• Ability to plan, prioritize and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
