Foundation Phase Teacher

About the role

ADvTECH is seeking a passionate Foundation Phase Teacher to deliver future‑focused education to young learners. You will create engaging learning experiences that develop reading, literacy, numeracy and other foundational skills in a flexible and inspiring environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver curriculum for the foundation phase, stimulating individual talents.
• Assess student progress and produce accurate academic reports.
• Manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning atmosphere.
• Act as a brand ambassador for the school, upholding ADvTECH’s values.
• Maintain accurate administrative records and ensure health & safety compliance.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree (NQF level 6) in Early Childhood Development or B.Ed (Foundation Phase).
• PGCE or equivalent qualification where applicable.
• SACE certification and a valid police clearance.
• 2‑5 years of teaching experience in the foundation phase.
• Strong interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence and professional presentation.
• Lifelong learner committed to staying abreast of global education trends.
