Financial Controller – 3-Month Contract

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Financial Controller for a three‑month contract within a dynamic group of companies based in Johannesburg. The role will lead financial reporting, consolidations and reconciliations across multiple entities, providing accurate and timely information to operational and executive teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage monthly financial reports and management accounts.
• Consolidate financial results across all entities in the group.
• Perform general ledger reconciliations and ensure the integrity of financial records.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow reporting processes.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end close activities.
• Maintain compliance with internal controls, policies and reporting standards.
• Collaborate with operational teams to deliver financial insights.
• Handle ad‑hoc finance and reporting requests as required.

Required profile

• Completed degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a comparable finance role.
• Strong background in group consolidations and multi‑entity environments.
• Experience in commercial, operational or manufacturing settings is advantageous.

Required skills

• Sage Evolution (financial software).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
