Financial Accountant – Remote or Onsite Opportunities

About the role

We are looking for qualified Financial Accountants to join our talent network for remote or onsite assignments with European clients. The role offers exposure to full‑cycle accounting, financial reporting and commercial finance functions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes, including reconciliations, journals and accruals.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis, and compile internal reporting packs.
• Prepare financial statements and manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger activities as required.
• Assist cash‑flow reporting, working‑capital management and tax, VAT, payroll and statutory reporting.
• Liaise with auditors, clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Improve finance processes, controls and reporting accuracy.
• Provide analysis and decision‑support to senior finance leaders and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Required profile

• Currently completing or recently qualified SAICA, CIMA, SAIPA, AGA(SA) or equivalent finance qualification.
• Relevant accounting degree with 3–5 years of practical finance, audit or commercial finance experience.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations and accounting principles.
• Familiarity with management accounts, budgets, forecasts and reporting packs.
• Good knowledge of IFRS, IFRS for SMEs or related reporting frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to manage deadlines independently.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting systems such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, Pastel, NetSuite or SAP.
• Knowledge of IFRS reporting standards.
