Financial Accountant

About the role

Our client in Rosslyn, Pretoria is looking for a Financial Accountant to lead financial reporting, budgeting and compliance activities, delivering insights that support strategic decision‑making and business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee accurate financial statements and management reports in line with applicable reporting standards.
• Develop, monitor and control annual budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, internal policies and SA tax regulations.
• Analyse financial performance, identify trends and provide actionable recommendations to senior management.
• Support business units with financial insights to drive growth initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a financial or senior accounting role.
• Proven track record in financial management and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and compliance.
• Experience mentoring or managing junior finance staff (advantageous).
• Familiarity with South African tax law (advantageous).
