Financial Accountant

About the role

The Financial Accountant joins the FC&R General Ledger team at Richemont, a leading luxury goods group. The role ensures that financial data is accurate, compliant with IFRS and South African regulations, and supports decision‑making across the company’s Maisons and Functions.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure financial information complies with IFRS, South African regulatory standards and Richemont policies.
• Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, providing assurance of accuracy.
• Post verified general ledger entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
• Enter monthly financial data into the general ledger and prepare reports for Maisons and Functions.
• Analyze ledger accounts, calculate accruals and support the monthly closing process.
• Continuously review and improve accounting processes to increase efficiency and reduce risk.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and South African accounting regulations.
• Experience in general ledger accounting and month‑end closing.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple business units.
• Proactive attitude towards process improvement and risk mitigation.
