About the role

The client, a long‑standing player in the mining sector, is seeking a Finance Manager to lead its finance function. This senior position reports directly to senior leadership and is responsible for ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and strategic treasury management.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee financial and statutory compliance in line with corporate policies.
• Govern and update financial policies to reflect best practices.
• Prepare and present annual financial statements.
• Manage treasury activities, including cash flow forecasting and banking relationships.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial data.
• Conduct tax reviews and coordinate BBBEE audit information.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) qualification.
• Minimum of 6 years post‑article experience in a corporate finance environment.
• Proven leadership ability to manage a finance team.
• Strong understanding of mining industry financial dynamics is advantageous.
