Finance Controller – Inventory

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Controller – Inventory to join our finance team. The role is ideal for a detail‑oriented professional with strong stock‑control experience who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is passionate about accuracy and process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Process all purchase orders related to inventory in the financial system.
• Manage stock receipt transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Control and process stock adjustments (write‑ups and write‑downs) according to company procedures.
• Lead and coordinate regular stock counts across all branches nationwide, including rolling counts, system updates, reconciliations and post‑stock‑take analysis.
• Calculate stock replenishment, drive the replenishment process for imported parts and participate in import clearing.
• Support inventory control initiatives across branches, including occasional travel and managing returns to foreign suppliers.
• Maintain minimum stock levels, create and manage stock codes, and support inventory‑related projects.

Required profile

• Matric qualification (required); finance‑related qualification is advantageous.
• Minimum 10 years of finance experience with stock control as a key responsibility.
• Valid Code 8 driver’s licence and willingness to travel to branches.
• High energy, self‑motivated, strong sense of ownership.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); Afrikaans spoken.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Word.
• Experience with financial and inventory systems (Syspro advantageous).

What we offer

• Basic salary of R24 000 per month.
• Provident Fund contribution of 7 % (compulsory).
• Medical aid contribution up to R2 500 per month.
