Environmental Officer (Production Level) – Development Management Region 3

About the role

The Environmental Officer (Production Level) will support the Director of Development Management in delivering sustainable development across Region 3. The role focuses on providing integrated environmental management, regulatory advice, and processing environmental authorization applications.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Director in ensuring sustainable development objectives are met.
• Provide regulatory, advisory, and support services related to environmental management.
• Process and assess environmental authorization applications within the region.
• Monitor compliance with environmental legislation and standards.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate environmental approvals.

Required profile

• A suitably qualified and competent individual with a background in environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of environmental legislation and regulatory processes.
• Ability to analyse environmental data and documentation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
