Engineering Clerk - Maintenance Support

About the role
Sasol is seeking a detail‑oriented Engineering Clerk to provide comprehensive administrative and coordination support to four Maintenance Area Managers and their foremen. The role ensures smooth day‑to‑day maintenance operations, accurate documentation control, and compliance with internal processes such as Management of Change (MOC) and MOCA.
Key responsibilities
- Provide daily administrative and logistical support to Maintenance Area Managers and Foremen.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and track action items.
- Manage stationery and PPE requests, issuance, inventory tracking, and record keeping.
- Administer MOCA tasks and support the MOC process, including documentation control and workflow monitoring.
- Maintain and safeguard all Maintenance folders in digital and physical formats.
- Administer and track overtime forms, ensuring proper approvals.
- Support preparation and documentation for RBI reviews, Holistic Assessments, and third‑party audits.
- Prepare reports, presentations, registers, and other maintenance‑related documentation.
- Liaise with internal departments, contractors, service providers, and inspection teams.
Required profile
- Grade 12 / Matric qualification; administration, technical or business qualification advantageous.
- 3–5 years of administrative experience in maintenance, engineering, petrochemical or industrial environments.
- Working knowledge of MOC processes (advantageous).
- Experience supporting audits (RBI/Holistic/third‑party) preferred.
- Excellent organizational, communication and multitasking abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Required skills
- Strong computer literacy with MS Office Suite.
- Experience with SAP or similar maintenance/ERP systems (advantageous).
