Electrical Design Engineer – Power Distribution Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Ballito, South Africa. The role focuses on creating detailed electrical designs for power distribution systems within renewable energy projects, ensuring reliability and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive electrical schematics and layout drawings for power distribution networks.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical designs into overall project plans.
• Perform troubleshooting and optimisation of electrical systems to meet performance targets.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant safety standards, industry regulations and company quality procedures.
• Support the implementation of energy‑efficient solutions throughout project lifecycles.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in electrical design and engineering, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
