Data Auditor

About the role

The Data Auditor will support OUTsurance’s Internal Audit function by applying data analytics, automation, and data‑driven techniques to improve audit coverage, efficiency, and assurance quality. You will work with large data sets to uncover control weaknesses, emerging risks, and potential fraud, enabling more continuous and effective auditing.

Key responsibilities

• Extract audit‑relevant data from core systems and data warehouses, assess data quality, and document limitations.
• Perform rule‑based and scenario‑based testing across full data populations to identify control failures and risks.
• Develop and maintain automated audit tests and recurring analytics to replace manual procedures.
• Create dashboards and analytical reports that translate complex data outputs into clear audit insights.
• Assess data pipelines, transformation rules, and data models to identify integrity and logic risks.
• Enable the Internal Audit team to use data tools, support self‑service data products, and collaborate with IT and business stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and professional scepticism.
• Ability to link data anomalies to audit risks and internal control implications.
• Methodical, well‑documented approach ensuring repeatable and defensible audit work.
• Collaborative mindset with a service orientation toward the Internal Audit team.
• Solid data analytics capability and working knowledge of data engineering principles within an audit context.
