Construction Site Manager

About the role

The Construction Site Manager will lead the refurbishment construction team, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role oversees all on‑site activities, coordinates subcontractors, and maintains strong communication with stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret construction drawings, specifications and schedules; develop detailed site plans.
• Coordinate sequencing of works, manage subcontractors and resolve daily operational issues.
• Supervise on‑site personnel, conduct inspections, toolbox talks and maintain site diaries.
• Enforce health, safety and environmental compliance; report and investigate incidents.
• Implement quality assurance procedures, perform inspections and manage snagging processes.
• Liaise with architects, engineers, quantity surveyors and clients; provide regular progress reports.
• Monitor material and equipment usage, approve timesheets and control labour resources.
• Track on‑site expenditures, identify cost‑saving opportunities and support interim valuations.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of construction experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or site‑agent role.
• Proven ability to manage in‑house teams on refurbishment projects.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and quality standards.
• Experience in budgeting, cost control and resource planning.
