Construction Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager with a strong background in roads construction to lead a high‑profile project in Durban North, KwaZulu‑Natal. The role involves overseeing all site activities, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering the project on schedule and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day site operations for a major roads construction project.
• Develop, monitor and adjust construction programmes to meet milestones.
• Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures and HSE standards.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and client representatives.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for progress, costs and safety.

Required profile

• Matric / Grade 12; National Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field (advantageous).
• 10–15 years of experience managing roads construction projects.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable personal vehicle.
• Ability to travel and work away from home as required.
• Immediate or short‑notice availability is a plus.
