Claims Clerk

About the role

RCL Foods is seeking a Claims Clerk to join its Commercial Credit Management team in Bedfordview. The role involves managing and distributing claims and proof of deliveries, collaborating with the company’s bakeries, and supporting credit control processes.

Key responsibilities

• Extract outstanding Proof of Delivery (POD) documents from the Capisol platform, submit them to the Credit Controller, and ensure extraction is completed within the first week of each month.
• Process BBR value‑only credit and debit transactions on Syspro using Document Approval workflows.
• Capture and process Milling, Grocery, and Sugar credit notes via the Activity Tracker and Document Approval workflows, and handle Sugar Business Unit pricing claims accurately and timely.
• Ensure all transactions and documentation are processed within month‑end deadlines and assist with record completeness during financial closing periods.
• Support Credit Controllers with general administration, provide operational assistance across accounts, and resolve queries.
• Process customer payments from daily bank statements onto the system, verify receipts, and promptly identify and escalate discrepancies.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Finance or a related field.
• Experience handling large volumes of claims.
• Experience with Syspro is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
