About the role
The Business Development Manager will drive sales growth across the Eastern Cape by identifying new opportunities and nurturing existing client relationships. This role involves frequent travel to understand client needs and present tailored solutions that align with their business objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients.
- Conduct sales presentations, meetings and negotiations.
- Achieve defined sales targets and report on performance.
- Perform market research to inform strategy.
- Prepare regular sales reports for management.
- Travel extensively to meet clients, attend industry events, trade shows and conferences.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Required profile
- Minimum of 3 years’ sales experience with a proven record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field preferred.
- Strong sales, negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Self‑motivated, results‑driven and detail‑oriented.
- Own reliable car and a valid driver’s licence.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the Eastern Cape.
Required skills
- Proficiency with CRM software.
- Strong command of the Microsoft Office Suite.
