About the role
We are seeking an Audit Manager to oversee audit engagements from start to finish, ensuring they are executed efficiently and in line with professional standards. You will act as the primary liaison with clients, delivering high‑quality audit outcomes while managing a small team of auditors.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, execute and supervise audit engagements, ensuring compliance with IFRS, IAS, ISA and relevant company legislation.
- Identify audit risks, develop audit programs and testing procedures, and document evidence to support conclusions.
- Communicate issues and recommended solutions to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Lead and mentor audit supervisors and trainees, providing guidance and reviewing deliverables.
- Maintain adherence to all applicable professional and company standards throughout the audit process.
Required profile
- Qualified Chartered Accountant registered with SAICA.
- Minimum 2–3 years of post‑article audit experience.
- Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Willingness to travel domestically and adapt to changing environments.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Caseware audit software (advantageous).
- Solid understanding of audit and accounting standards (IFRS, IAS, ISA).
